Ever wondered how cashews start off life before they end up in a packet salted, roasted or raw? Neither did we, really, until we found out they do NOT grow how we expected.

A quick browse of the almighty interweb soon revealed cashews are not alone in everyday foods that start off life a little funky. Zucchinis, peanuts, brussel sprouts and even the humble pineapple have some pretty interesting origins too.
