The Australian has reported today Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull wants his cabinet to communicate using instant messaging program Slack.
Slack says "tens of thousands" of workplaces worldwide use its software, which is designed to enable teams to communicate quickly without the burden of email.
Users can send and receive instant messages and files. It's a useful app we at The Huffington Post Australia use almost every minute of every day -- but the thing we love most is the Giphy plug-in.
Type any word into Slack -- for instance, "Turnbull" -- and a roulette feature spits out a random GIF result from the Giphy archive related to that word. Like so:
For instance, that's model Billie Turnbull. Oftentimes, the Giphy roulette feature means your result is nothing at all like what you wanted -- which makes it absolutely ridiculous and an amazing time-waster on a long, slow afternoon in the office.
We're hoping our politicians develop the same love for the Giphy roulette as we at HuffPost Australia -- and no doubt countless workplaces across the globe -- have, so for Malcolm, Julie Bishop, Christopher Pyne, Warren Truss, Scott Morrison, George Brandis and the rest, we plugged into Slack a bunch of words that would often crop up in a cabinet meeting, to see what came up.
Pollies: here's a taster of what you can expect when you make the move to Slack.
