Qantas has teamed up with one of Australia’s most influential online personalities, Nicole Warne (aka Gary Pepper Girl) to become the airline’s official Digital Consultant.
Warne will provide her digital expertise to Qantas on a number of projects, the first of which will see her directing a series of international destination video guides. Directing and featuring in the first guide to Tokyo, Warne gave The Huffington Post Australia a sneak peek of the insights that passengers can expect to learn.
"My favourite place to shop in Tokyo is Shibuya -- here’s an eclectic mix of luxury, vintage, and homewares. I like wandering and exploring the back streets and finding the hidden treasures. There’s the most amazing vintage boutique -- Amore Vintage Brand Boutique -- which stocks the largest selection of vintage Chanel I have ever seen, including incredibly rare pieces. In the window, a Chanel bike complete with clip on 2.55 sits on display. It’s not for sale, unfortunately!," said Warne.
"There’s also the obvious luxury stores, that I can’t resist going in to see what stock they are carrying. But my secret passion is stationery , LOFT is a must see for this, and also Tokyo Hands, which has everything from stationery to eclectic interior pieces -- things you can only find Japan."
As well as starring in the Tokyo guide, Warne will direct the guides to New York (hosted by artist CJ Hendry), San Francisco (hosted by Hugo and Jimmy from Flight Facilities), London (hosted by models Jordan and Zac Stenmark) and Santiago (featuring YouTuber Chloe Morello).
“Documenting the travel I do as part of my work – with clients and opportunities arising around the world - is something I do every day. I’m thrilled to be working with our national carrier. I can’t wait to bring to life the sights and sounds of these amazing cities and inspire people to achieve their travel dreams,” said Warne.
