Airport Haka Welcomes New Zealand Rugby Team Home

Air New Zealand Did The Haka For The All Blacks And It Was Amazing

It was a fitting mark of respect for arguably the greatest rugby union side ever.

As the New Zealand squad have been psyching out opponents for the last two months during the Rugby World Cup with their traditional haka, but when they returned home to Auckland clutching the William Webb Ellis trophy, they found themselves on an unfamiliar side of the war dance -- the receiving side.

Staff as Auckland airport greeted the jet-black New Zealand plane as it touched down on the tarmac, roaring into a full-blown rendition of the haka on the wet concrete.

It's one of the better and more passionate hakas we've seen, and we've seen a lot.

NZ captain Richie McCaw seemed pretty happy about things.

Thanks to the team at Air New Zealand for getting the important luggage home! She was a long flight but it's great to be back on home soil. See you guys at Victoria Park.

While in other airline-related news, QANTAS staff were forced to suffer the ultimate shame -- losing a bet over the result of the final, the Australians donned New Zealand jerseys for the day.

A bet is a bet. And today Qantas played good sports and followed through with #AirlineWager wearing All Blacks jerseys on board.

So yeah, congrats to the All Blacks. We'll see you in four years.
