After to-ing and fro-ing Quade Cooper may still be heading to France to play rugby for Toulon following his World Cup campaign with the Wallabies -- but Australia coach Michael Cheika is pulling out all stops to bring him home.

According to reports out of France, Cooper will be arriving at the French club this week and not flying home to Australia.

Cooper signed a two-year deal with Toulon in April but then changed his mind, enticed by the possibility of playing Rugby within the Australian system with a view to playing Sevens at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

The about-face by Cooper was not received well by the French club which insisted he honour the agreement.

After several exchanges between the ARU, Toulon Rugby and Cooper's management in July, the ARU outwardly distanced itself saying that the issue was between Cooper's management and the French club.

On Monday, Toulon Rugby announced a press conference has been scheduled for Tuesday 3 November at which it states Cooper will be present.

Wallabies coach Michael Cheika however says he will be doing everything he can to keep Cooper within the Australian rugby system.
