How do we really know that what we see is what everyone else around us sees?
You can take visual perception to endless philosophical musings. And that's what this short film The Color Of Sight does.
The narration is adapted from Proust Was a Neuroscientist -- a controversial book by journalist Jonah Lehrer, which argues artists and creatives anticipate future scientific discoveries.
With lines like "We make our eyes lie, the mind is not a camera, there is no way to quantify what we think we see", it's fair to say this film explores the philosophical, rather than the scientific side of our visual perceptions.
Filmed throughout Australia and California it's beautifully shot and complements the narration perfectly.
It's a think-piece and a quick journey into a different, if not controversial, perspective.
