The Australian who was confirmed by Julie Bishop as injured in the Paris attacks has been identified as 19-year-old Emma Grace Parkinson, from Hobart.
Ms Parkinson was shot in the near the Bataclan theatre, where multiple gunmen killed at least 78 people in a siege on Friday night in French capital.
Ms Parkinson is the only confirmed Australian casualty of the Paris attacks and was taken to hospital for treatment. Fairfax Media has reported her injuries were not critical.
Tasmanian Premier Will Hodgman released this statement on his Facebook page:
Earlier: The Minister for Foreign Affairs released a statement confirming at least one Australian has been wounded in the attack and that DFAT was providing "consular assistance".
"I am aware of an Australian who has been injured in the Paris attacks and we are providing consular assistance," Ms Bishop said in a statement.
The Australian Government is continuing to work with French authorities to identify any other Australians who may be affected.
The French Ministry of the Interior has revised its death toll down to at least 120 deaths and confirmed at least 78 people were killed in the Bataclan theatre.
200 people have been injured.
