U2 cancels Paris concert after terrorist attacks

U2 has canceled a concert scheduled for Saturday night in Paris in the wake of terrorist attacks in France that claimed at least 100 lives.

The concert, part of the Irish band's iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE world tour, was to have aired live on HBO.

“We watched in disbelief and shock at the unfolding events in Paris and our hearts go out to all the victims and their families across the city tonight," the band said in a statement posted to its website. "We are devastated at the loss of life at the Eagles of Death Metal concert and our thoughts and prayers are with the band and their fans. And we hope and pray that all of our fans in Paris are safe.”

Both HBO and U2 said they were "resolved to go ahead with the show at an appropriate time."

HBO has scheduled an airing of Jersey Boys on its schedule,
