Watch Bill Shorten Inserted Into Zoolander In A Glorious Politics Mashup

Editor on ABC's Insiders program and political satirist Huw Parkinson has made an artform of inserting Australian political racket and ridiculousness into big-name movies and TV series -- Tony Abbott into Indiana Jones, Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard into The Breakfast Club, Jacqui Lambie into Ghostbusters -- but may have outdone even himself with his latest masterpiece.

Parkinson has placed Bill Shorten into the world of Zoolander, Ben Stiller's blockbuster comedy about male modelling. Shorten plays the role of Zoolander, coming up against a new "so hot right now" competitor -- "Prime Minister Malcolm Hansel".

"Bill Shorten's Zoolander" sees Shorten spout some of his most famous quotes on Turnbull to waiting reporters on the red carpet; "We're focusing on the policies, not the polls"; "The salesperson has changed but not the policies".

But really, you're here to see Bill Shorten do Blue Steel. You will not be disappointed:

Check the rest of Parkinson's videos here. A personal favourite is the Arrested Development mashup, for which -- along with the Star Wars and Breakfast Club videos -- he was nominated for a 2015 Walkley Award in the 'Media Multimedia Storytelling' category.
