Police are searching for an alleged sex attacker who is believed to have indecently assaulted a woman on a Sydney bus.
The 37-year-old victim was on the bus between Burwood and Campsie in Sydney's southwest when the incident occurred about 6.30pm on November 6, police say.
They say the victim and the alleged assailant both got off the bus at Campsie.
The woman wasn't injured in the attack.
Police leading the investigation have released an image of a man who they want to question over the alleged assault.
He's described as Caucasian, about 180-185cm tall, with a large build, balding and a moustache.
Police want anyone with information to come forward or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
The attack comes after a crime victimisation survey last year showed about 20 percent of commuters were worried about getting assaulted on public transport.
While the incident happened in Sydney, it also follows data released earlier this month showing a jump in the number of sexual assaults occurring on Melbourne’s public transport system.
