Mike Baird: Most Chilled Premier Ever?

Mike Baird: Most Chilled Premier Ever?
Facebook/Mike Baird

Mike Baird confessed one of his guilty pleasures to Facebook on Saturday night, posting a selfie with his daughter at Sydney's Taylor Swift concert -- and apparently enjoying himself.

A great thing about having daughters: you can pretend THEY'RE the reason you are at the Taylor Swift concert. #shakeitoff

This is the latest of some very personal, candid and lighthearted moments on Baird's Facebook giving followers an ongoing and appropriately hashtagged #bairdseyeview into his life.

This has to prove he's either the most chilled Premier in history, or is backed by the world's most calculated social media team. Maybe both?

One minute you're falling in love. The next, you hear the patter of little feet. And then suddenly they are off to their...

The concert selfie wasn't even the first time Baird dropped a mention of T-Swift, already shaking off the haters when he parodied Jimmy Kimmel's Mean Tweets segment.

Baird often goes to great lengths to keep his social media game strong, whether it's hiring a DeLorean for a cheesy dad joke on Back to the Future Day or having his Maroons jersey delivered in an elaborate hazardous materials container to poke fun at his State of Origin bet with Queensland.

Back To The Future

Great Scott!! Turns out we still need roads... Happy Back To The Future Day!

The office nearly went into total lock-down today after we received some VERY hazardous material in the mail.

He's also posted about issues like shark culling on our beaches with accompanying photographic evidence of the Premier himself cutting sick (but who took that photo?)

Let’s talk about the shark situation. As a surfer, I’ve watched the recent shark events on the North Coast and I’ve...

As a Premier, you have to answer the tough questions and the people want to know what Mike Baird's Subway of Choice is. This video presumably caused a statewide demand for veggie delight subs with southwest sauce.

There is simply no disputing the best sauce on the Subway menu. (Although from my staff team, there is plenty of disputing my selection of toppings...) This is a little #bairdseyeview of lunch on the run while we are on the campaign trail.

Baird also appeared on election day with almost no mention of the election itself in what is basically just a weird 43 second video of him eating at a sausage sizzle.

The best thing about election day... SAUSAGE SIZZLE! Here we take a special election day #bairdseyeview of the fare on offer at North Curly public school. So far Murray in Penrith has won the best campaign food award. Can he be usurped by the humble sausage?

He's happy to fit in a few overs of office cricket

Anyone for a spot of office hallway cricket between meetings?(Don’t quite have the pace of my younger years... but based on this face it’s not for lack of trying!)

Or learn some new hula hoop skills at Vivid.

I had a really great time at Vivid the other night. If you haven't checked it out this year, it'd be well worth getting amongst it on the weekend. And if you see the neon hula hoop girl, don't be shy, give the hoop a crack. You're almost guaranteed to twirl that thing better than I did!

He's developing some strong connections in the #auspol sphere too with his political banter.

And best of all he's not afraid to have a cheeky dig at his neighbours.

Interesting new logo, Victoria.*offer excludes harbour, infrastructure and sunshine

Love him or hate him you can't deny Baird's easygoing approach and appreciation of Taylor Swift are making his social accounts go off in Style.

It's not so easy to always hit the mark with these things.

Ready to #shakeitoff at @taylorswift with my girls! #1989toursydney
