In case you've been living under a rock, reality star Kim Kardashian and her rapper husband Kanye West welcomed their second child, a baby boy, into the world on Saturday -- sending fans and media outlets alike into a frenzy as they deliberate what the famous pair will name their new son.

While Twitter users have their hopes pinned on 'Easton West' to match his sister North's directional moniker, Kim has previously stated, while she likes the name, Kanye isn't a fan.

So what names could be on the horizon for the newest addition to the West clan? Nameberry recently released their predictions for baby name trends of 2016 which include everything from 'Star Wars' inspired names as Poe, Finn, Rey or Hux, to "old man names" like Clyde, Murray and Montgomery.

Inspired by all this baby talk, The Huffington Post Australia decided to cast an eye back over the decades to see what baby naming trends took place in Australia over time.
