David Kochie And Samantha Armytage Busted Joking About Burt Reynolds On Air

The Awkward Moment You're Busted Talking Behind Burt Reynolds' Back On Live TV

It was difficult to tell if he was dead-panning for comedic effect or plain unimpressed, but Burt Reynolds' reaction at the end of a Sunrise interview on Monday was priceless. The humour was all in the Deliverance.

A very flirty Reynolds sent Samantha Armytage into a giggly spin when he invited her to check out his house on her next visit to America, causing the Sunrise host to hold her notes in front of her face.

But it was Kochie's cheeky comments on camera when he thought Reynolds had been disconnected from the studio that became the focus of attention.

Kochie and Sam were laughing about the eccentric Reynolds' on-air exploits, when the former appeared to suggest the Hollywood legend had taken something before the interview.

"He kept touching his nose all the time, that was a bit of a give-away I thought."

At this point Sam chimed in, realising that Reynolds could still hear them, and awkwardly whispered to her co-host "shhh! he's still here!".

Kochie then grimaced before the shot cut to Burt relaxing at home, looking pretty pleased with himself for catching the Sunrise pair in the act, simply stating: "Yeah, I'm still here."

Kochie and Sam resorted to fits of laughter and covering their faces with paper, as Bert responded: "I don't know what they're talking about but they're having a bloody good time".

Reynolds was promoting his new book, 'But Enough About Me', and right on theme this cringe-fest was all about Kochie and Sam. Good Hustle, guys.
