Notorious Sydney Strip Clubs Raided, Three Arrests Made

Heavily Armed Cops Swoop On Strip Clubs In Drug Raid

Police have smashed an alleged cocaine supply network operating out of two notorious strip clubs in Sydney.

Almost 100 police, including heavily armed tactical officers in balaclavas, descended on the Kings Cross Dreamgirls and Bada Bing nightspots, about 11pm Saturday.

The raids followed investigations that workers at the clubs were supplying drugs -- reportedly cocaine -- to clients on the premises.

Two women and a man were arrested during the operation and charged with drug supply.

Further arrests are expected.

Around 200 patrons at the venues had to be evacuated due to the raids.

Both clubs have been served with 72-hour closure notices and authorities say they want to have the venues permanently shut down.

It is not the Bada Bing club's first brush with the law, with a man shot in the shoulder at the club in 2012 after an altercation on the dance floor.
