You can't talk in the cinema. For some families, that's enough incentive right there to go see a flick on Boxing Day.

Having presumably been together all Christmas Day, going to the movies provides a cool, dark, chit-chat free sanctuary.

Actors Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper are working with American Hustle director David O Russell again, this time to portray the true story of a powerful single mum.

Suffragette

If U.S. audiences are anything to go by, this film by Abi Morgan starring Carey Mulligan will be a must-see this summer.

It was the highest-grossing film the week it was released in the U.S., beating other high-profile releases including Tom Hanks' Bridge of Spies.

Trumbo

Trumbo tells the story of acclaimed Hollywood screenwriter Dalton Trumbo, who was infamously blacklisted during the Cold War.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens

We know it's already been out a week or so, and we're not going to force you to see it, but the latest Star Wars film is worth seeing on the big screen.

Or, if you've already taken in the epic action sequences and insightful moments, perhaps it's time to see it again, if only for the two hours and 16 minutes of quiet time.
