With the rain, flooding and general disdain that comes with returning to work after the Christmas break, the news of a festival dedicated solely to Nutella will no doubt fill you with warm gooey feels.

Created by a group of plain loving Nutella fans, “Nutella-Palooza” is “a celebration of all things Nutella and chocolate” and will take place in Adelaide on April 9 (that’s two weeks after the Easter long weekend -- more than enough time to reset the tastebuds, no?).

According to the festival’s website, Nutella-Palooza is supported by Splash Adelaide, an organisation that showcases experimental projects in public spaces across the city. The free, all ages event is:

“The brainchild of a group of Adelaide Nutella fans, Nutella-Palooza will feature cooking demonstrations, bakery stalls, chocolate stalls, food trucks, art installations and much more.”

While a day consuming nothing but chocolatey-hazelnut goodness sounds like just the ticket, they’re also set to have food trucks on site for those wanting to cleanse the palate.

Be still, my beating heart.

Nutella-Palooza will be held at Bonython Park Saturday April 9 2016.
