Deadpool Just Dropped This Australia Day Message For Fans

Deadpool Drops Quirky Australia Day Message, Calls Out Wolverine

The promotion for Twentieth Century Fox’s latest superhero flick, Deadpool just got real with Ryan Reynolds (or maybe just a random dude in a mask?) who plays main character Wade Wilson an ex Special Forces operative turned snarky anti-hero, being filmed sending out a special Australia Day message.

Wearing a cork hat and throwing out lines like “shrimp on the barbie” those that aren’t familiar with the comic will more than likely find the whole thing majorly cringey. But it’s his reference to Wolverine that has got fans in a pool of excitement.

In true Deadpool style, Reynolds tells the audience he’d fit right in with Australians before having a dig at Wolverine.

“Only one teeny problem, you gave us Wolverine and for that, I can’t forgive you… I’ve got no problem with Hugh -- he’s a delightful guy, he really is -- true legend. But the movie, that was a career low for me. You’ll understand.”

For those not getting the joke -- Reynold's character is known for breaking the fourth wall and given this is the first time the world has seen him brought to life on screen, you can imagine fans are literally frothing over impending release.

Deadpool is in cinemas February 11.

Here's the very funny, very NSFW trailer.
