'Where's The Closest Macca's?' Google Now Speaks Fair Dinkum 'Strayan

“Where’s the closest servo?” “What’s the temperature like in Brissy?” “Take me to the nearest Macca's.”

These are just a few of the questions you can now ask the updated Google app.

Yep, the newly created software is catering specifically to Australians, even going as far as altering the accent of its personal assistant, Google Now (we’re not kidding, she will call you “mate”).

The tech giant chose to illustrate its improvements with a voice search of all the tricky to pronounce places around the country as shown above.

Which means for those using Google Maps, you’ll no longer have to endure mispronounced suburbs like Woolloomooloo and Turramurra -- as your turn-by-turn instructions now offer the true blue slang you're used to.

Nor will you have to deal with the frustration of not being heard properly by your PA ("I said sunnies not Sammy").

The update also means you'll be able to ask specifically Australian questions like how tall the prime minister is and where his wife was born. Or if finding the closest bottle-o is more your thing, you can bet Google's got you covered.

'Straya!
