Donald Trump Must Be Regretting These Tweets After His Loser Finish In Iowa

Well, this is awkward.

If you haven't heard, billionaire real estate mogul and GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump likes to win. For months, he's made the promise of winning a focal point of his campaign, saying that a President Trump would win so much that Americans would get bored of winning. But on Monday, when it came time to test his mettle in the first actual competition of the primary, the Donald blew it.

Trump's second-place finish in Iowa behind Texas Sen. Ted Cruz likely came as a surprise to his staffers, who had seemingly read his strong poll numbers as a sign that victory was the only acceptable outcome. Instead, he finished just a single point above Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, who came in third.

While Trump appeared gracious in defeat, anything short of first place has to sting. As Trump himself likes to point out, second place is totally for losers.

Hagen, a professional golfer who tallied 11 victories at major tournaments, the third most all time, knew a thing or two about winning. And Trump is apparently pretty fond of his view on anyone who takes home silver.

Taking the Dale Earnhardt view of competing -- that “second place is just the first loser” -- sounds great when you're ahead. But when the votes get counted and you end up in second, well, you look like a pretty big loser. And if you don't believe me, just check out loser.com.

Note to our readers: Donald Trump is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist, birther and bully who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims -- 1.6 billion members of an entire religion -- from entering the U.S.
