Shane Warne probably thought he'd overcome all of his fears in the jungle, but the former cricketer was faced with the one question he really didn't want to deal with during The Project on Thursday night.
Speaking on the Channel Ten program after being booted from I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here on Wednesday night, Warnie appeared less than impressed when Waleed Aly asked about his charity being audited for fund mismanagement.
After discussing the reality show and the cricketer's relationship status, Waleed interjected with "we have to talk about the issue of your charity".
"You and Fev were going to donate money to the charity. There's been the audit. It wraps up next week. You are about to land back in Australia and land in the middle of that issue. What are you doing about that the moment you get back home?"
"I have been in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, in isolation for six weeks so I have no idea what is going on there at the moment. I have done 13 hours of PR straight," said an irritated Warnie who went on to talk about the difference the charity has made to children's lives.
"If people want to have a crack at us for raising money and making a difference, go ahead. We have nothing to hide. We welcome any audit.
"It is disappointing that people want to come after some good people that have raised money and made a serious difference to underprivileged children.
"You can get stuffed if you want to have a go at us but we are very, very proud of what we have been able to achieve."
Wrapping up the interview, Waleed said with a laugh: "I am not sure the independent auditors will get stuffed but I'm sure we will see what they ultimately say".
"You doubting me mate?" asked an angered Warnie.
"You think we've got something to hide?"
"I am not saying anything but I'm not an auditor so I've got absolutely no comment on it," said Waleed, ending the interview.
Moments later, the cricketer tweeted this.
Sounds like Warnie's farewelled two Channel Ten programs then.
