He boarded a bus to an affluent Melbourne suburb to stab some "rich f--king c--ts." He found a 17-year-old schoolgirl in a park, targeting her because she "dressed all yuppie." He shoved her into a bush and stabbed her 49 times, later calmly walking into a police station to confess to her murder.

Sean Price was given a non-parole period of 38 years by Justice Lex Lasry in the Victorian Supreme Court after earlier pleading guilty to murder.

He killed schoolgirl Masa Vukotic in a brutal stabbing attack in March last year.

"There is little I can say that will lessen the suffering of these people," Justice Lasry reportedly told Price, referring to family of Vukotic who had gathered in the court to hear the verdict.

"You can never repair the damage."

The murder was a seemingly random attack, with Price telling police he wanted to stab someone because he hated society.

"I just thought I'm going to stab and I'm going to hurt these f---ing dogs," he told police at the time. "So I thought originally, look for rich areas. I thought rich areas, these f---ing c---s, they don't care unless it happens to them, unless it's in their society."

"I was planning this days before I went to Kew thinking of stabbing someone. I remember on the bus to that region; I was sitting next to these two Asian chicks; I was looking at them and just knew I was going to do something bad."

Price left his Albion home with a large kitchen knife hidden inside a black bag and set out to kill, travelling by bus to the Manningham area.

There he spotted the schoolgirl on a walk in the park near her Doncaster home.

"This chick was on the other side of the road ... she's like started talking to a bird like f---ing Snow White," Price later told police.

"I thought she's ... dressed like f---ing all yuppie.

"I just thought f--- this, this is the moment. This one just ended up being the one. I just f---en had to kill her."

The Age reports that Price pushed the schoolgirl into some bushes so he could stab her.

Vukotic reportedly pleaded for her life as Price attacked, telling him she would do anything he wanted.

She died after being stabbed 49 times.

Days later, Price handed himself into nearby police, telling them he was the Doncaster murderer.
