Carice van Houten, who plays Melisandre on "Game of Thrones," got everyone's attention early on in the series when she stripped her clothes and gave birth to some sort of demon. So when news broke that she and actor Guy Pearce were expecting their first child together, the Dutch actress confirmed it in the best way possible:

Well played, Carice. The king is pleased.

Van Houten was already set to have a big year even before the news. Her character is rumored to be involved in one of the biggest storylines in "Game of Thrones" history. Yes, it's the one involving Jon Snow.

That's obviously still exciting, but no storyline can top what's happening in Van Houten's real life.
