With easy wifi and and lap-top office arrangements, it's easier than ever to work from the great outdoors, but how many of us go 'green desking' at the nearest park?
Conservation organisation The Nature Conservancy is asking Aussie workers to go green desking for one hour during Work With Nature Week.
Director Rich Gilmore said people were more likely to want to protect the natural environment if they were out enjoying it.
“Between home, the office and driving in-between, it can be hard to make the time to get outside and enjoy our great green spaces,” Gilmore said.
“With factors like climate change affecting our environment, there’s never been a better time for Australians to make a small pledge towards conserving our future."
As for bosses, he said he encouraged his own team to go green desking for the health benefits.
“Organisations and employees will reap the rewards of working with nature, which can be beneficial to both physical and mental health,” Gilmore said.
Work With Nature Week is on April 18-24 and you can register your green desking here.
