Zero points for naming where the Mona Lisa hangs -- everyone knows she's on display in The Louvre, Paris (though if you've ever visited her you might have been surprised to learn just how small the painting is).
Though, have you ever given thought to where other famous works of art are located? Sure, you've heard their names, but where abouts in the world are they?
Not surprisingly, a whole bunch are found in Europe. The Birth Of Venus, a painting depicting the goddess emerging from the sea, is hanging in Florence and happens to be one of the earliest paintings to be completed on canvas.
The Creation Of Adam (who is a bit of a hottie, by the way) calls the Vatican City home and is the iconic fresco found on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Considering it's not really portable it won't be on display anywhere else soon.
Confusingly, Monet's Water Lilies are everywhere. Reason being is there isn't just one painting but a series of over 250. You can find some in New York City, others in London, and some tour various galleries around the worlds, so always keep an eye out.
