Entertainment powerhouse Marvel has just dropped a strange trailer.
Dr Strange, that is.
The movie, due in November, tells the story of arrogant surgeon Dr Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) who loses the use of his hands in an accident, an event which leads him on a mystical path that eventually makes him The Sorcerer Supreme -- one of the Marvel universe's most powerful characters.
The film stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr Stephen Strange, one of the Marvel universe's most powerful heroes.
The film also stars Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One, who becomes Strange's mentor and is trains him to be the next Sorcerer Supreme; as well as Chiwetel Ejiofor as the villainous Karl Mordo.
Not a special effect: this candid, behind-the-scenes photo shows the full power of Tilda Swinton's acting chops on other thespians.
TWF you have a scene with Tilda Swinton and she knocks the soul out of you.
The film also stars Rachel McAdams, who plays a surgeon friend of Strange's, as well as Mads Mikkelsen as a rival sorcerer.
Given the mind-bending, mystical nature of the story, it comes as little surprise things appear to get a bit Inception during the film
It is expected to open in November, following the May release of Captain America: Civil War.
