Because limited edition puppies and kittens weren't enough, you can now use Uber to order takeout (not that the small animals were to eat -- that would be very wrong).

The ride sharing company on Tuesday launched UberEATS, a separate app in which you can order home delivery.

Rolling out in Victoria first (sorry, rest of the country), Melburnians can download the app, available on iOS and Android, and select from over 80 of Melbourne’s eateries including hard-to-get-a-reservation-at Super Normal, Gazi, Pidapipo, Serotonin and Jimmy Grants.

The third city to launch globally, UberEATS aims to bring hungry but lazy people what they want to eat from high-end restaurants, not just the local Thai.

“Melbourne is the ultimate foodie city, and UberEATS enables us to help more people access the city's great food from top restaurants in their suburb and beyond. Our goal is to offer people what they want to eat, when they want to eat, in the quickest time possible," Simon Rossi, General Manager for UberEATS Australia said in a statement.

Operating from 11am to 10.00pm seven days a week, delivery is free for a limited time during the launch phase.

What's next, Uber going to work and doing our job for us?
