One Arya Theory Still Makes Total Sense On 'Game Of Thrones'

Arya ready for this?

Arya Stark is making a list and checking it twice. And, according to this theory, she's going to be checking some names off this list, too.

Earlier this season, Arya recited a few names from her "kill list," and one of those was Walder Frey. (As a reminder, Frey is the bucket of turds, who, along with Tywin Lannister and Roose Bolton, orchestrated the Red Wedding.) After Arya recited the list, and we saw Frey make a return to the show, there's been a lot of speculation that Frey would finally be punished this season for his part in the Red Wedding. Now it definitely appears that Arya will do the punishing, but there's a twist.

On "Game of Thrones," there's a tradition called "guest right." This basically says that once bread and salt are shared between a host and a guest, neither can harm one another for the duration of the stay.

Breaking guest right is considered a sacrilege, and you may have noticed that all parties but Frey have seemingly been punished for this. In acts of kinslaying, which is said to curse the one who commits it, Tywin Lannister and Roose Bolton were both killed by their sons. Now it's Frey's turn. But how can Frey be killed by his son if Arya's the one checking him off her list?

Redditor kaztrator lays it out:

Daaaaammmnnnn, Arya. Back at it again.

It's a cool theory, and there may be even more to it.

Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams played a game of "Two Truths and a Lie" with Yahoo this year, and their answers could be more evidence.

According to Turner:

“Ramsay dies.”

“Lady Stoneheart returns.”

“Arya checks three people off her list.”

According to Williams:

“Arya goes to Westeros, back over the sea.”

“Arya is in the trailer more times than people have realized, because they don’t realize it’s her.”

“Arya doesn’t cross any more names off her list.”

Since Ramsay died, despite a leak that he'd make it through the season, it's probably safe to say that Lady Stoneheart returning is the lie from Turner. In the books, Catelyn Stark comes back from the dead as Stoneheart to seek revenge for the Red Wedding. We've heard over and over that she's not making an appearance, and it may finally be time to accept it.

If that's the case, Arya is definitely checking someone off her list. Then, by process of elimination, Williams revealed Arya is headed back to Westeros and she's in the trailer more than we realize.

This likely means that Arya is using her Faceless Men skills to take on someone else's identity when she takes out Walder Frey (who is one of the only people left on her list). Although we originally speculated that Arya would wear the face of Catelyn Stark to kill Frey, after seeing the connection between Roose and Tywin both being killed by their sons, it makes way more sense that one of Frey's sons would do it (or appear to do it).

And if Arya is in the trailer more than we think, it'd make double sense that she's right here sitting next to Walder Frey as his son Black Walder at the upcoming finale feast:

After all, that character is looking down in the preview, which is reminiscent of how Arya acted most of the time when she first used her face-changing skills to murder Meryn Trant in the Season 5 finale.

But wait. Hold everything. We've seen a lot of Arya theories debunked this season. Why should we buy into this? Plus, how the heck is Arya making it to Westeros so fast?

Yes, Arya's storyline hasn't really lived up to the hype this season, but she's headed back to Westeros and things are lining up. Also, the show hasn't been debunking everything. Two of its biggest theories were already confirmed this season when both Jon Snow and the Hound came back. There's just too much evidence to ignore this.

As far as getting back to Westeros, it took Theon and Yara only one episode to make it all the way to Meereen. And the Sand Snakes pretty much teleported to King's Landing in the first episode, so anything can happen.

Get ready, Walder Frey. Arya Stark is about to send her regards.
