Justin Bieber wants fans to know: he probably doesn't want your shit, so you can keep it for yourself.

During his show at Boardwalk Hall Arena in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Friday night (part of his Purpose World Tour), the 22-year-old let his fans know that there's more to life then throwing stuff on the stage for him. It's all about finding your purpose, which is what the singer's apparently been doing since releasing his latest album, aptly titled "Purpose."

"Take this moment to listen and try not to give me a hat or whatever you're trying to throw onto the stage right now, because I probably don't want that shit," he said in a video recorded by a fan at the show.

The crowd of Beliebers erupted into cheers before Bieber apologized for his choice of words.

"Sorry, that was mean," he said.

The cheering seemingly flustered the pop star, causing him to lose his train of thought.

"I was deep into, like, a mode and a zone. I was into it. Now I'm out of it. I'll get it back. Just give me a second," he said, before pausing.

He continued:

"I just wanted to take this moment to acknowledge the fact that we all have a purpose, that we all have a meaning to life and it's not, like, we just don't live to die," he said. "And this life is not all struggles. I know that sometimes when we wake up in the morning, and it's like 'God, another day...'"
