This British dad’s elaborate breakfast art is the toast of the town.

Adam Perry has two daughters. His youngest suffers from severe food allergies, which drastically limits her dining options. Tired of serving her the same plain breakfast every day, Perry decided to get creative.

“I started to feel really sorry for her that her breakfast was so boring everyday, the same old two slices of white toast,” Perry told ABC 7. “So I started playing with toast to get her excited about her breakfast again and to make both the girls laugh when they came down to eat.”

The result? A series of increasingly intricate breakfast sculptures, all made out of two slices of toast.

Despite the complexity of his creations, Perry says he usually completes his sculptures in the time it takes his tea kettle to boil. “Though it must be said,” he added, “our kettle is old and slow, so that’s a big help!”

Perry documents his carb-loaded creations on the Instagram account 2slicesoftoast. One look at these masterpieces and you’ll be filling out your ballot for “Dad of the Year” ― or sculpting your own.
