Katy Perry Says She'd Collaborate With Taylor Swift Under This One Simple Condition

Katy Perry is willing to move past her bad blood with Taylor Swift as long as she hears one little word: sorry.

On Saturday, the “Firework” singer took some time from her busy schedule to answer questions from fans on Twitter. When someone asked if she would ever work with Swift, Perry responded with a short and simple answer.

“If she says sorry, sure,” she said.

The feud between Perry and Swift goes all the way back to 2014, when the latter told Rolling Stone about an unnamed fellow female pop star who “tried to sabotage an entire arena tour.” It’s this female pop star that “Bad Blood” was written about.

“She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me,” Swift said. “And I’m surprisingly non-confrontational – you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It’s awkward, and I don’t like it.”

People on the internet quickly concluded that Swift was talking about Perry, who, soon after that interview was published, tweeted, “Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing.”

Perry all but confirmed the tweet was about Swift when she told Billboard in 2015, “If somebody is trying to defame my character, you’re going to hear about it.”

Swift’s ex Calvin Harris also confirmed the feud between the pop stars when he tweeted about it after his messy breakup from the “22” singer.

“I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do,” Harris wrote, adding, “I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it.”

Perry seemingly responded to the DJ with a very telling GIF of Hillary Clinton.

She also retweeted one of her old tweets that read, “Time, the ultimate truth teller.”

Swift has yet to respond to Perry’s remarks, but we’ve reached out for comment. We have a feeling the “Style” singer’s going to have a hard time removing herself from this narrative.
