A crime scene was established on Tuesday afternoon.

A two-year-old girl has been found dead in a home in Sydney's south-west after police were called to the scene on Tuesday.

NSW Police confirmed the toddler was found in a home in Miller -- 50 kilometres south-west of Sydney -- just after 12pm.

"Emergency services were called to the home following a concern for welfare," a NSW Police spokesperson told The Huffington Post Australia.

"On arrival officers located a two-year-old female who was deceased."

NSW Police could not confirm whether anyone else was in the home upon emergency services' arrival.

"A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner," the NSW Police spokesperson said.
