So sweet and delicious, but sadly not nutritious.

No one is denying that soft drink is delicious. Occasionally and part of a balanced diet there's nothing wrong with a glass of the bubbly stuff, though many of us drink it more than occasionally and often it'll take the place of good 'ole water.

There's a few key reasons why that's not ideal, cost and calories being two of them. A bottle of Mountain Dew contains 77 grams of sugar, while there are 52 grams in a bottle of Coke. When you consider that the World Health Organisation's recommended sugar intake for adults is 25 grams a day, well, you can join the dots.

We're not saying you should quit completely, but cutting down will make a big difference to your health and your wallet. First up, use the quiz below to work out if you're an occasional soft drink consumer or a heavy user. From there, use the clever tips to cut down...or quit!

Good luck!
