What is cuter than a baby panda? TWENTY-THREE baby pandas.

These cuddly giant panda cubs were on public view for the first time at China's Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.

The babies of different sizes were aged from one to four months old. Look at their little faces.

Handlers were on high alert with some of the little pandas trying to escape from their viewing platform. One elegantly face-planted into the grass.

The breeding program has been particularly successful this year, with double the number of cubs as last year.
