Bon Iver's haunting vocals and soulful tunes have secured them a worldwide fan base and now they're now using their fame to get behind the important cause of gender equality.
The band have announced their #2amillion campaign, that aims to "raise support, awareness and person-to-person connections in an effort to end gender inequality, domestic violence and sexual abuse".
The band has partnered with non-for-profit organisations at each of their upcoming tour dates and will be encouraging concerts goers to donate and get informed about these important matters.

This isn't the first time a high profile person has spoke out publicly about gender equality.
In September, Aussie rocker Jimmy Barnes, told the audience on Q & A that he believed Aussie boys need to be educated about domestic violence and gender equality before their teen years.
He said cultural attitudes are ingrained in children by the time they get to high school and called for programs educating young boys about treating women respectfully to be implemented sooner.
Last week, a new report by Our Watch and Plan International revealed only one in six Australian girls between the ages 16 and 19, feel their intelligence is valued over their appearance.
An Australian leg of Bon Iver's current 22, A Million world tour is yet to be announced but let's hope the much loved musicians bring their music and this awesome initiative to our shores as soon as possible.
