Congratulations are in order for the newlyweds!
Ciara and Russell Wilson announced that they’re expecting their first child on Tuesday, which was also the singer’s 31st birthday. The two shared the happy news via Instagram.
“On this special Birthday I received an abundance of love from friends and family.. and I’m excited to Finally share one of the Greatest Gifts of All that God could give...” Ciara wrote, adding a baby emoji and a milk bottle to her adorable photo with the quarterback.
Wilson posted the same photo with a more straightforward caption, writing, “The Greatest Blessing of All. Forever Grateful.”
The two were married just three months ago in July a gorgeous castle in Chesire, England. Wilson and the “Ride” singer began dating in 2015 and dated for over a year before getting engaged, famously staying celibate until their wedding night.
Wilson was previously married to his high school sweetheart, Ashton Wilson, while Ciara has one son, Future Zahir, with her ex-fiancée, rapper Future.
The Seattle Seahawks star recently admitted that he was looking forward to having children of his own with his new wife.
“I want to have a bunch of kids — me and Ci do,” Wilson told People in July. “I think that ever since the first day I ever met Ciara and Little Man, too, it’s been really cool and really special.”
