Party pooper alert -- we have bad news for you. BUT, we're only telling you about the toll that summer's festivities takes on your body so you can make the choice to indulge, but not overindulge.
Take booze for example. Christmas and the new year period is a great time to get together with friends for drinks, but alcohol can disturb your sleep cycle, causing you to go straight into a deep sleep, which sounds good, but means you're missing out on the important REM phase. Alcoholic drinks often contain a lot of sugar, too, and we know that's not good. Make sure you alternate each drink wioth water and eat a hearty meal beforehand.
Christmas is also a stressful time. Trying to find time to buy gifts and prepare food plans while wrapping up the working year can be tough. Make sure you don't over commit -- only take on what ou can realistically manage. that goes for the money spent on gifts, too -- putting everything on credit isnt a wise idea.
Being aware of the stress caused by the silly season can help you better prepare. Check out the below infographic for more.
