If there was one person who had a pretty great 2016, it was Khloé Kardashian. Why? Because she got exactly what she wanted. Her "revenge body."
But the journey to achieving a killer figure wasn't easy. In a new cover interview with Health magazine, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star spoke candidly about her struggles with food and her body.
"I was going through my divorce, and I just really needed an outlet," the 32-year-old, who flaunts a red bodysuit on the cover, said. "I had turned to food and had an unhealthy relationship with food my whole life, and I was like, 'Food has never helped me lose weight.'"
Following her divorce from Lamar Odom, Kardashian noted how she joined the gym as an escape, and eventually hired celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson to kick off her weight loss journey.
"I blocked out all that noise. I escaped there, and as a by-product, I started losing weight," The Good American designer, who revealed she lost 35 pounds over the summer, said.
For much of her life, Khloé has been compared to her sisters, Kim and Kourtney. Prior to her weight loss, she was often referred to as the "fat" sister by media.
"Kim can eat anything, and I'm like, 'I hate you,'" she revealed. "The nutritionist was like, 'Kim has a body like a Ferrari, and you have a body like a Honda.' I was like, 'Yep, that sounds about right. That's my life — you just summed it up right there.'"
And it's true Khloé can't seem to catch a break — she is constantly being judged for her weight and putting up with body shamers on the Internet.
"Some people were like, 'It took you so long to lose weight,'" she said. "And I'm like, 'I've been fat or out of shape my whole life. It's gonna take time to reprogram my body.' But some people were like, 'I liked you better when you were fat.' I get body-shamed now that I work out!"
"I don't care what weight I am," she said. "It's genuinely about me being healthy."
