The Tiger Snake That Nearly Stole Christmas

Only in Australia.

Asides from a visit from the grinch himself, nothing could put a dampener on the festive season more than finding a tiger snake posing as tinsel in your Christmas tree.

This was a reality for one Victorian woman, who made the discovery after the slithery serpent decided to entwine itself in the bristles of her tree.

"Cheryl from Frankston got an early Christmas surprise this morning when she found a new decoration had been added to her tree," Snake Catchers Victoria wrote on Facebook.

"She didn't panic, she just took a photo and sent it to the snake catcher, me, and 20 minutes later I had the little bugger in a bag."

A tiger snake's venomous bite can be potentially fatal to humans, they are considered one of the most deadly snakes in Australia. Yikes.
