Victorian fire authorities have announced a bushfire in the state's northeast is now under control after issuing an emergency warning on Sunday afternoon.
The large grassfire is burning near Kiewa, Tangambalanga, Red Bluff, said the Country Fire Authority. It was travelling in the direction on properties in the area but firefighters have been able to hold the spread of the fire at the Gundorwing Road.
The CFA said there is currently no threat to communities, but people in the area should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions.
"Crews were called to the scene at about 12.30 this afternoon and was called under control at 3.45pm," the CFA said on its website.
There are currently 32 trucks on scene blacking out to ensure the fire doesn't reignite. Firefighters have been able to hold the spread of the fire at the Gundorwing Road.
"An advice message is still active for has been issued for the towns of Red Bluff, Charleroi, Gundowring, Kiewa, Kergunyah, Huon, Sandy Creek and Tangambalanga," the CFA said.
