The Killers Find Their Lyrics In A Fortune Cookie, Want Orange Chicken For Life

Cash in like you mean it.

The Killers have made an hilarious request to Chinese restaurant chain Panda Express in America after they found some of their lyrics in a fortune cookie.

No, it's not money the want -- it's Orange Chicken. For life.

Upon opening the cookie, they found the line, "Smile like you mean it" printed inside. It, of course, references the mega-hit that featured on the band's 2004 album Hot Fuss. We bet you're singing it in your head already.

The band posted the note on Twitter with a caption saying they'd let Panda Express off the hook for some delicious Orange Chicken. A lifetime's worth, to be precise.

"I'm thinkin' orange chicken for life and we'll let you off the hook for using our stuff," the band wrote. Obviously a joke but a pretty damn funny one.

Of course this is the internet, so naturally other people have decided to get involved by posting some weird and wonderful responses to the funny tweet.

With some users not quite getting the funny side, pointing out that it wasn't The Killers that coined the phrase in the first place. Spoil sports.

@thekillers never heard of you... I've used "smile like you mean it" since before you all were born. Get over yourselves!
