Proven By Science: Doing These 9 Things Will Make You Happy

You can't argue with facts.

Happiness is a tricky thing to quantify. What makes one person happy might not work for another. It might be a pet that brings someone joy, whereas for another it could be completing a big project at work.

Though science has been able to identify a bunch of universal things that are proven to improve happiness for everyone -- and with 40 percent of a person's happiness made up by daily activities, you might want to consider adding some of these to you to-do list.

An easy one is listening to music. It's been proven that listening to our favourite tunes releases dopamine in the brain, which is one of the happy hormones which is responsible for the feeling of pleasure.

Another is looking at cute animals (in case you needed an excuse). Pictures and videos of puppies, kittens and other cute animals makes us happy and in turn, can improve our level of focus at work.
