And now we have a new awful digital dating habit and it's wearing thin. It's called breadcrumbing.

It's the annoying situation where a potential special friend keeps the online conversation going sporadically without actually wanting to go on a date but never disappearing of the radar completely.
Like Hansel and Gretel, they leave behind a trail of breadcrumbs in the form of flirtatious messages. They may be talking to many people online, just for the buzz. But they never want to meet in real life.
