It's the second time this year Tigerair has been forced to cancel flights to and from Bali.

Tigerair has now permanently suspended flights to and from Bali, throwing the plans of holidaymakers into chaos once again.

There have been ongoing issues between the budget airline and the Indonesian government over a set of approvals required by the authorities.

The Australian-Bali route will be abandoned after less than a year of operation, after failing to reach an agreement over key regulatory issues.

Today's drama follows Bali travel chaos last month when the budget airline was forced to suspend fights to and from Bali when the Indonesian authorities cancelled an agreement with Tigerair.

The airline was forced to ground its planes to and from Bali on January 20 - February 2, due to what it described as 'new arrangements' put in place by the Indonesian government.

Tigerair has yet to reveal when it will be able to resume flights in and out of Bali.
