Emergency Bushfire Warning Issued For Residents In Bedfordale, WA

People have been urged to act immediately.

A bushfire emergency warning has been issued for residents in the eastern part of Bedfordale in the city of Armadale, on the outskirts of Perth.

People near Rails Crescent, Wongan Close, Burns Drive, Coolibbarra Drive and Harwood Pass have been warned of a dangerous blaze and told they need to act immediately to survive.

There is a threat to lives and homes within the area.

Homes in Rails Crescent, Wongan Close, Burns Drive, Coolibbarra Drive and Hardwood Pass are all under threat from the fire, according to the Department of Fire and Emergency Services WA.

The fire is believed to have started near the intersection of Admiral Road and Albany Highway in Bedfordale, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

There are reports that roads have been closed in the area and there are large amounts of smoke as emergency ground and aerial support teams make their way to fight the blaze.
