You Can Now Go To A World-First Astrology Hotel In Sydney

Talk about the ultimate star rating.

The stars have aligned.

When it comes to astrology, we generally fall into two camps: those who are infatuated by it and those who just don't get it.

Whichever side of the fence you fall on, this is pretty intriguing.

A world-first astrology hotel has just dropped in Sydney.

Astrology connects you to a part of yourself that you may not tap into every day.

Hotel chain 8Hotels opened a new and improved 'The Ultimo Hotel' in Haymarket on Wednesday. Refurbishing the existing, heritage-listed hotel, the group have teamed up with professional astrologer and founder of Stars Like You Damian Rocks to dust off the ultimate star rating.

"While astrology does have a bit of personal flavour, it can appeal to everybody," Rocks told The Huffington Post Australia at a media event.

"It sparks the imagination -- and it has always been a part of our culture and history."

Not your usual 'Do Not Disturb'.

The idea behind it? As our desire for travel becomes increasingly personalised, the team are aiming to cater to this by bringing astrology into a contemporary context.

We're not talking witchcraft and crystal balls, here. When you turn up for your stay, you'll be asked to nominate your star sign. They'll do the rest.

"When you read your star sign, it connects you to parts of yourself that you may not tap into in everyday life. We want guests at the hotel to have that sense of connection," Rocks said.

95 rooms of boutique luxe.
Not too shabby.

On arrival, each guest will be given a a city guide recommending tailored places to eat, drink and visit around Sydney.

Among a series of Astrology packages, a personalised star chart, moon calendar and a one-one-one astrology reading with a Stars like You team member are on the cards. Daily horoscopes, zodiac slippers and Astrolo-tea matched to your star sign will be chucked in, too.

Are you a Cancer? Head to Tetsuya's for dinner followed by a show at the Sydney Theatre Company.

"It's all about creating a personalised experienced to make your downtime more meaningful," Rocks said.

"I've had an opportunity to work with all of the staff -- and they understand astrology. They'll be able to give guests tips."
