Angus Young surprised fans in Sydney on weekend when he made two appearances at the Guns N' Roses concerts, proving that rock and roll is still alive and kicking.

Although the appearance had been heavily rumoured, fans were still absolutely thrilled at to see the AC/DC co-founder actually appear and perform with the band.

"We're gonna bring out a friend of ours. Ladies and gentlemen, Angus Young!" Axl Rose, the Guns N' Roses frontman told the delighted audience.

He joined the band to play two AC/DC classics 'Whole Lotta Rosie' and 'Rif Raff', Young made a similar surprise appearance to perform the same songs at Coachella in 2016.

The two bands have grown close over recent years, Axl Rose replaced singer Brian Johnson on AC/DC's tour after it was announced Johnson could no longer perform due to hearing issues.

People were absolutely delighted by the concerts that also saw an appearance from Angry Anderson.

"To see Angus Young from AC/DC and Slash from Guns n Roses on one stage was truly a moment I will never forget !!! Unbelievable, ENJOY !!!" one Facebook user wrote.

"One of the best gigs I have seen in a long time the highlight was Slash and Angus playing together," another said.
