Music superstar Adele has been snapped secretly touching down in Australia ahead of her first-ever tour Down Under.

NewsCorp Australia broke the news overnight, publishing vision of the British songstress stepping off a private jet at Sydney airport.

Adele is said to be accompanied by her young son Angelo.

NewsCorp reports that the touchdown was so secret that Adele's driver didn't know which celebrity they were picking up.

The singer's arrival comes just five days after bagging five gongs at the Grammy Music Awards and is 11 days ahead of her first Aussie concert in Perth.

Following the west coast show Adele is scheduled to play Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
