Stephen Colbert admits to not watching the movies that are nominated for Best Picture at the 89th annual Academy Awards.

So for Friday’s broadcast of the “Late Show,” he got into the spirit of The Oscars by summarizing each of the contenders ― based solely on what he’d seen on their promotional posters.

It turns out “Lion” is literally about two lovers from the wrong sides of the tracks ― well, according to Colbert, anyway.
