Everybody's favourite anti-popstar Lorde has been very much active online this week, and after tweeting a mysterious link to a short clip of new music, the 20-year-old has confirmed her new single 'Green Light' will drop on Friday morning.
In a series of tweets, the New Zealand singer-songwriter said she was "so proud" of the new track, which we can only assume is the lead single to her forthcoming album and follow-up to 2013's "Pure Heroine."
"It's very different, and kinda unexpected. it's [sic] complex and funny and sad and joyous and it'll make you DANCE," Lorde wrote.
Fans can expect a video to go with the song, directed by Grant Singer.
And judging by the previous teaser, where two dates and locations flash across screen -- March 2, 2017 for New York City and March 3, 2017 for New Zealand -- something tells us we might be getting a little more than just one track.
After breaking into the scene at 16, it looks like we can expect a different sound from the now 20-year-old, who hasn't released new music in two years.
Perhaps it's time to dust off those party shoes. As the young woman said: "It'll make you DANCE."
