The full magnitude of Cyclone Debbie has been captured from above in amazing footage taken from the International Space Station (ISS).
The Category 4 tropical cyclone, with wind gusts up to 250km/h, is expected to make landfall near Mackay around lunchtime on Tuesday. Hamilton Island has already been battered by wind gusts of more than 100km/h.
The startling vision from the ISS shows the swirling eye of Debbie bearing down on the Queensland coast from above the Earth.
As the space station approaches Australia, the immense scale of Debbie comes clearly into view.
This view from the Himawari-8, the Japanese satellite, also shows the devastating size of Debbie as it approaches mainland Queensland.
